Geneva is the origin of the International Red Cross, which is located just otherside of the Palais des Nations, this museum was inaugurated in 1988 to give tribute to the unusual heroics of the men and women from the Red Cross who have helped mankind over the last 140 years.

There are 11 areas exemplified including main beliefs, history and vocation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent throughout some of the world's gravest trials.

There is an up to date museographics that shows sculptures, installations, numerous objects, original films and photographs, audio-visual recordings, slide shows.
